Hi All!
If I can predict anything about this blog it would be that it is going to be about my favourite topic.....ME :-)... and I am sure it will be the favourite topic for most people keeping a blog, I mean themselves. I dont know if my ramblings are going to be of any interest to anyone else (other than a fleeting interest to people who may know me), but I shall try and say a few profound things in each of my posts just to keep a few people interested.(hopefully a non-zero integer ;-))
I can cite one definite reason why my blog has the potential to become really fun... it is because I am going through a period of great flux in my life. In the next month or so my life is going to change so drastically (in my opinion as drastically as most lives can change) that I might have some interesting observations to make. If you are wondering whether I am an Oracle of some sort to make such a prediction about my life, let your curiosity rest.... I am not an Oracle to predict the many vicissitudes in my life...I am an engineering student. In mid-July I will be moving to Madison, Wisconsin for graduate studies in Computer Engineering. And what makes my journey to Wisconsin such a great change is the fact that I am from India.
To give you a very brief introduction about myself, I was born on the 9th May, 1980 right in the center of India. That makes me a Taurean, something that I dont know if I should be proud about or be ashamed of. Something that I am proud of is my gifted family; my parents are doctors, my father is a Professor of Surgery at B J Medical College, Pune and my mum is a Senior Lecturer in Anesthesia at the same institute. May be someday I shall tell you about their achievements. I went to school in Pune at the Bishops School for the first few years and then to Loyola High School until class 10. My junior college was Fergusson College, Pune where I passed my Class 12 with respectable scores and entered the College of Engineering, Pune. College of Engineering is the oldest engineering school in Asia established by the Brits in 1854. I am on the threshold of entering a new university, the University of Wisconsin, Madison which I am looking forward to. Most people would like to think they are special or gifted...I think I have passed that phase long ago. I am just an average person in most respects and I have no delusions of grandeur as far as I know. I know I am not the chosen one, so if you are looking for a blog from a God or a boon to humanity, youre reading the wrong blog.;-)
Well thats my first post, I shall keep you posted.
